About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of how modern AI models learn: people create, review, and rate examples so models produce safer, more accurate technical outputs. This work is highly flexible, often remote, and a great way to apply domain expertise to improve model behavior.

The role

As a C# AI Training Engineer you'll use professional C#/.NET knowledge to write, improve, and evaluate AI-generated code, explanations, and step-by-step solutions. Tasks focus on text-based review and generation: writing model responses, rating model outputs, and giving clear corrective feedback so models learn correct reasoning.

Labeling work for this project is text-based and includes RLHF, evaluation/rating, and text-generation tasks. You will follow detailed rubrics to assess technical correctness, reasoning quality, and clarity.

• Employment type: Contractor, part-time; expected minimum: 20+ hours/week.

What you'll do

• Write or improve expert C#/.NET responses and example solutions, explaining reasoning step-by-step.
• Review source materials and model outputs against project guidelines and rubrics.
• Rate and annotate model answers for technical correctness, clarity, and best practices.
• Provide precise, constructive feedback so reviewers and models can learn from corrections.
• Maintain consistency and quality across repeated review tasks, following instructions closely.

Requirements

• Relevant professional or academic experience in C# software engineering (Intermediate level).
• Strong C# and .NET experience, including ASP.NET Core and Web APIs.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and ORMs (EF Core or Dapper), async/await, LINQ, and Docker.
• Ability to evaluate technical correctness, reasoning quality, and step-by-step problem-solving.
• Fluency in English and strong written communication with careful attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed project instructions and apply rubrics consistently.
• Comfort working independently as a remote contractor.
• Experience with AI data training, evaluation, annotation, or technical QA of model outputs.

Schedule, pay, and eligibility

This is hourly-paid remote contractor work. The role requires at least 20 hours per week and is set up as part-time contracting through OpenTrain.

Pay: $65/hour (USD).
