About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People with technical expertise review model outputs, write stronger examples, assess reasoning, and explain corrections so AI systems can produce more accurate and useful results.

In this role, your C# and .NET knowledge will support text-based training tasks involving software engineering prompts, AI-generated responses, model solutions, and structured human feedback.

  • Help shape how AI systems understand and generate C# software engineering content
  • Apply expert judgment to model outputs and technical problem-solving
  • Work remotely with flexible contractor scheduling

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an intermediate C# AI Training Engineer to support AI training focused on C# software engineering. You will use your practical knowledge of C# and .NET to assess technical correctness, reasoning quality, and step-by-step problem-solving.

This is hourly-paid, remote contractor work with a minimum time requirement of 20+ hours per week. The opportunity is available to eligible contributors in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Cambodia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, the United States, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

  • Employment type: Part-time contractor

What You'll Do

You will contribute to repeated review and generation tasks designed to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated C# and .NET content. Clear written explanations are central to the work because your judgments and corrections help guide model behavior.

  • Write or improve expert responses to C# software engineering prompts
  • Explain your technical reasoning clearly and accurately
  • Review source materials and model outputs against project guidelines
  • Evaluate technical correctness and the quality of step-by-step problem-solving
  • Explain judgments and corrections precisely so feedback can improve model behavior
  • Maintain consistency and quality across repeated review tasks
  • Complete text-generation, evaluation, rating, and RLHF-oriented tasks

Requirements

You should have strong real-world C# and .NET experience and be comfortable evaluating technical work against detailed project instructions. Relevant professional or academic expertise in C# software engineering is required, along with strong English writing ability.

Experience with AI data training, evaluation, annotation, or technical quality assurance of model outputs is included among the requirements. The role also calls for independent judgment, careful attention to detail, and consistent application of review rubrics.

  • Strong C# and .NET experience, including ASP.NET Core and Web APIs
  • Practical knowledge of SQL, EF Core or Dapper, async/await, LINQ, and Docker
  • Ability to evaluate technical correctness, reasoning quality, and step-by-step problem-solving
  • Experience with AI data training, evaluation, annotation, or technical QA of model outputs
  • Fluent English and clear written communication
  • Ability to explain corrections precisely
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow detailed project instructions and apply rubrics consistently
  • Comfort working independently on remote contractor tasks
