About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is how people teach models to reason, answer, and behave correctly. Tasks include writing and rating model responses, classifying text, spotting edge cases, and reviewing quality — work that directly influences state-of-the-art systems.

The role

We are recruiting a Business Analyst (Portuguese — Brazil) to support fine-tuning and improving large language models. You will apply analytical reasoning to answer questions, craft scenarios, and review text data to help models learn to think more accurately.

This is a contract, remote position open worldwide. The role is entry-level and suitable for candidates with strong language skills, attention to detail, and an interest in AI training.

What you'll do

• Answer analytical questions and create realistic scenarios to train LLMs.
• Label, classify, and validate text according to detailed project guidelines.
• Identify edge cases, annotation inconsistencies, and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Perform quality checks and provide clear, constructive feedback to improve data.
• Meet productivity and quality targets while working independently.

Requirements

You must be fluent in both Portuguese (Brazil) and English, have strong analytical and research skills, and be comfortable providing detailed, constructive annotations and feedback.

• Fluency in Portuguese (Brazil) and English — mandatory.
• Analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Creative and lateral thinking to craft scenarios and spot edge cases.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet quality/productivity goals.
• A desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection.
• Time commitment: 20+ hours/week; the role description also requests availability to commit to 40 hours/week overlapping US hours.

Helpful background

These qualifications are not required but will help you move faster and qualify for more projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional writing or analysis experience (business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, editor, translator, etc.).
• Comfort with basic arithmetic and data interpretation; familiarity with Excel and Google Suite.
