The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a BigLaw Legal AI Training Expert to support AI systems with high-quality legal analysis, research, drafting, and review. The work includes memoranda, opinions, contracts, and other legal documents, with careful attention to legal best practices and precision.

This is a remote contractor position with a part-time commitment of at least 20 hours per week. The role is listed at the entry level while requiring substantial professional legal experience and an active US license.

What You'll Do

You will analyze legal materials and provide structured, nuanced feedback that helps AI systems produce stronger legal work. Assignments may involve evaluating existing text, creating legal content, or identifying issues that require correction.

• Conduct legal analysis on US law topics and provide nuanced guidance
• Perform legal research to keep project outputs current and accurate
• Draft, review, and edit memoranda, opinions, contracts, and related legal content
• Provide structured feedback on legal texts for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
• Spot errors, inconsistencies, and ambiguities in legal materials
• Collaborate remotely on complex legal scenarios and deliverables

Requirements

This opportunity is designed for an experienced US legal professional with strong research, drafting, and review capabilities. Precision, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate legal reasoning clearly are essential.

• Active license to practice law in the United States
• Experience at one or more Vault Law 100 firms
• Strong background in legal analysis, research, and drafting
• Experience reviewing legal content with attention to quality assurance and precision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Legal research and drafting experience across US law topics
• Comfort working remotely and collaborating across disciplines
• Ability to review complex legal matters and deliver accurate feedback
