The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an at-home smartphone motion video contributor to record first-person video and synchronized smartphone IMU sensor data while completing assigned physical activities. You will use a smartphone mounted on a head strap, with both hands visible, and follow established collection and quality procedures.

This entry-level contractor opportunity is remote, limited to eligible U.S. states, and requires fewer than 20 hours per week. Compensation is $10 to $15 per hour.

What You'll Do

You will complete assigned movement activities and record them from a first-person perspective. The work combines physical task execution, mobile technology, and accurate sensor-data capture.

You will also document observations, communicate clearly about questions, and deliver project materials according to established standards.

• Record first-person videos with a smartphone mounted on a head strap.
• Keep both hands visible while performing specified physical movements.

Requirements

You must have the equipment and ability to capture synchronized first-person video and smartphone sensor data. Strong attention to detail and reliable adherence to standardized collection procedures are central to the role.

Previous AI experience is not required if you can follow instructions and produce high-quality data. Background in robotics, kinesiology, human movement analysis, sensor-based data collection, activity segmentation, machine-learning dataset labeling, or organizing large datasets can be helpful.
