This role places you at the intersection of creativity and engineering, shaping how generative music systems perform in Arabic.

The Role

You will evaluate generative music outputs and the musical training data that produced them. Work includes rating lyrical quality, vocal generation, musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, and production/mix quality, plus structured classification of songs by genre, sub-genre, structure, and vocal or instrumental characteristics.

This is a remote, part-time contractor role for an immediate start, lasting up to six months. The project requires working primarily in Arabic while following instructions provided in English.

• Data type: audio (music samples and stems).
• Labeling tasks: evaluation/rating and classification.
• Employment: contractor, part-time; worldwide applicants accepted.

What You'll Do

• Listen to and compare AI-generated music samples head-to-head and rate overall quality and prompt adherence.
• Assess lyrical output for fluency, meaning, rhyme, and cultural/linguistic appropriateness in Arabic.
• Judge voice generation for pitch, expression, timbre, and intelligibility.
• Evaluate musicality and creativity: melody, harmony, arrangement, and emotional fit.
• Use audio-engineering terminology to evaluate production and mix quality (balance, clarity, EQ, stereo image, artifacts).
• Classify songs with a structured taxonomy: genre, sub-genre, song structure, and vocal vs instrumental characteristics.
• Follow English-language instructions and apply consistent, structured judgments in Arabic.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer.
• Past experience writing lyrical music in Arabic.
• Strong understanding of musical performance, theory, and lyrics.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic and strong English comprehension.
• Ability to use audio-engineering terminology and apply structured musical judgment consistently.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay is hourly at a range of $12 to $44.25 USD per hour. The listed maximum is $44.25/hr and the minimum is $12/hr.

This role expects a part-time commitment of 20+ hours per week, with an immediate start and an engagement lasting up to six months.
