OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect qualified contributors to long-term, specialist AI training work and help freelancers consolidate projects, track progress, and grow a durable career in the human side of AI.
Why AI training work matters
AI training (data labeling and evaluation) is how modern AI learns from people: annotating, rating, and improving model outputs. This work is highly flexible, often remote and part-time, and gives contributors direct influence on how AI systems behave—especially important for high-quality, language-sensitive tasks like Arabic evaluation.
The role
OpenTrain is hiring an Arabic AI training and evaluation expert to review model-generated Arabic and English responses, judge reasoning and factual accuracy, and produce high-quality bilingual prompts and explanations. This contractor role focuses on evaluation ratings and RLHF-style feedback to improve clarity, correctness, and reliability of AI outputs in Arabic.
What you'll do
You will evaluate text outputs, compare alternatives, fact-check claims, and write bilingual prompts and model solutions that help guide model behavior. Work is fully remote and asynchronous; you will complete evaluation tasks and documentation within the expected cadence for each project.
Review AI-generated Arabic and English responses for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to prompts.
Rate and compare multiple model responses for correctness and reasoning quality (evaluation ratings, RLHF workflows).
Fact-check information and flag methodological or conceptual errors.
Write detailed bilingual prompts, explanations, and model solutions to improve future outputs.
Help validate model reliability across use cases and provide structured feedback to improve quality.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the language, background, and experience criteria below. OpenTrain preserves every listed requirement.
Native or near-native Arabic writing and editing across Modern Standard Arabic and at least one major dialect (Egyptian Arabic preferred).
Strong command of Modern Standard Arabic and ability to evaluate register, tone, and terminology choices.
Minimum C1 English reading and writing ability for bilingual review and instruction adherence.
Background in linguistics, translation, Arabic language, communications, journalism, or a closely related field.
Experience in translation, localization, editorial QA, content quality, or linguistic review.
Prior exposure to AI data training, annotation, or model evaluation workflows is strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
Helpful background
Familiarity with terminology management, style-guide adherence, and Arabic localization conventions for the MENA region will help you succeed. Practical experience spotting subtle translation errors, register mismatches, and reasoning gaps in text is valuable.
Work setting, hours, and pay
This is a contractor, part-time role. Expect to work 20+ hours per week with flexible, work-from-anywhere scheduling. OpenTrain recruits and contracts contributors directly and connects qualified experts to future AI training opportunities.
Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
Time requirement: 20+ hours/week (flexible, remote, asynchronous).

How to apply and next steps
If you meet the requirements and are excited to shape Arabic language AI, apply through OpenTrain to join the evaluation pool. Selected contributors will complete qualification tasks and training specific to the project before starting paid work.
