About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect experienced contributors with short-term, remote projects that directly shape how modern AI systems behave.

Work with a distributed team, gain experience evaluating AI outputs, and grow a profile that leads to more projects in this fast-growing field.

About AI training and this role

AI training (data labeling / human feedback) is the human work that teaches AI systems how to write, reason, and produce code. Contributors review model outputs, annotate correctness, and produce structured guidance so models improve.

This role focuses on evaluating AI-generated Angular v17 code and explanations — a hands-on contribution that helps make developer-facing AI tools more reliable and useful.

The role

You will review AI-generated prompts and responses about Angular v17, assess technical accuracy and relevance, label and categorize outputs, and provide clear, actionable written feedback to improve future model behavior.

This is a remote, part-time contractor role (less than 20 hours/week) paid hourly at $20 USD.

What you'll do day-to-day

Work through AI-generated code snippets and explanations, checking for correctness, best practices, and clarity.

Provide structured feedback that pinpoints errors, suggests fixes, and explains why changes are needed.

  • Label and categorize AI responses for correctness, relevance, and adherence to Angular v17 best practices.
  • Identify functional bugs, incorrect API usage, and misleading or incomplete explanations.
  • Suggest concrete code fixes and improvements, including performance and reactivity guidance.
  • Write clear, well-structured feedback in English suitable for model training and reviewer guidance.

Interview & evaluation responsibilities

You will conduct an AI-driven interview to assess candidates who will do similar evaluation work. The interview must verify technical skills, practical experience, and English communication ability.

  • Verify candidates have at least 5+ years hands-on Angular experience, with recent work in v17.
  • Ask for concrete project examples and probe for practical experience with Deferrable Views, Hydration, and Standalone Components.
  • Present a short Angular v17 snippet with a deliberate issue and ask the candidate to find and fix it.
  • Test knowledge of Angular Signals and reactivity patterns introduced in v17, plus performance optimizations and debugging strategies.
  • Assess the candidate’s ability to critique and improve AI-generated code, and to explain complex features clearly in English.
  • Confirm prior experience reviewing AI-generated code and willingness to complete structured labeling tasks.

Requirements

You must have deep, hands-on experience with Angular v17 and strong written English. Only apply if you can demonstrate practical knowledge and real-world usage of v17 features.

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience working with Angular (explicit v17 experience required).
  • Practical familiarity with Deferrable Views, Hydration, Standalone Components, and Angular Signals.
  • Strong English writing skills for clear, structured feedback and evaluation notes.
  • Ability to identify code errors, suggest fixes, and explain best practices succinctly.
  • Available for part-time contractor work (<20 hours/week) and able to work remotely (worldwide).
  • Hourly pay: $20 USD per hour; employment type: contractor, part-time.

Who should apply and how it works

Experienced Angular developers who enjoy code review and explaining technical ideas in plain English should apply. This project suits developers who can move from finding bugs to writing concise, teachable feedback.

As an OpenTrain contractor you’ll run interviews and complete labeling/evaluation tasks. Apply with examples of recent Angular v17 work and be prepared to demonstrate your knowledge in a short technical exercise.
