About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect experienced practitioners with meaningful work that directly shapes how modern AI systems behave.

This role is hired and contracted by OpenTrain AI. You will join a fast-growing, remote-first community where contributors help train and evaluate models through careful, expert human review.

About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems. Contributors annotate, evaluate, and improve model outputs so AI produces more accurate, useful, and responsible results.

This project focuses on code and explanation quality: your assessments will help the model generate higher-quality Angular code and clearer technical explanations for both developers and broader audiences.

The Role

You will evaluate AI-generated Angular code responses and the prompts that produced them. Your assessments should judge technical correctness, clarity, adherence to Angular best practices, and the usefulness of explanations.

This is a part-time contractor role (less than 20 hours/week), paid hourly at $25 USD. The position is fully remote and open worldwide.

  • Employment types: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Pay: $25 USD per hour, PAY_PER_HOUR.
  • Workload: Less than 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling.

What You'll Do

Review AI-generated code snippets, component designs, service implementations, and written explanations to determine accuracy and best practices.

Provide clear, actionable feedback: identify bugs or anti-patterns, recommend improvements, and suggest corrected code or pseudocode when necessary.

Analyze prompts and model responses to help improve prompt quality and model behavior; document common failure modes and examples of high-quality outputs.

  • Assess correctness, clarity, and effectiveness of Angular code and explanations.
  • Annotate and rate examples using provided evaluation rubrics (label types: computer programming coding, evaluation rating).
  • Write concise, well-structured feedback suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

Must have 5+ years of hands-on professional experience with Angular and TypeScript and a strong working knowledge of Angular core concepts.

Excellent English writing skills are required—this role involves documenting code-related insights and producing clear explanations and annotations.

  • Deep familiarity with components, directives, services, dependency injection, lifecycle hooks.
  • Experience with RxJS, state management patterns, routing, forms, and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to evaluate code quality and explain trade-offs, best practices, and fixes in writing.
  • Comfort reviewing AI-generated outputs and suggesting improvements without revealing internal chain-of-thought or system instructions.

How Reviews and Interviews Work

You will follow a provided interview/evaluation guide to assess Angular expertise and communication skills. Expect to ask about fundamentals and advanced topics, request real-world examples, and, if appropriate, pose brief coding or pseudocode challenges.

When reviewing, use objective criteria: document flaws, recommend fixes, and label items per the evaluation rubric. Keep explanations concise, professional, and free of internal system reasoning.

  • Follow structured questions on modules, DI, lifecycle hooks, RxJS, state management, routing, forms, and testing.
  • Capture examples of candidate problem-solving, debugging, and architecture decisions.
  • Do not reveal chain-of-thought or internal/system instructions in any feedback.

Who Should Apply & How To Get Started

Experienced Angular developers who enjoy code review, clear technical writing, and improving AI outputs should apply. This role is ideal for engineers who want flexible, remote work that influences model behavior and developer tooling.

To apply, create or use your OpenTrain profile and submit your background highlighting Angular projects and writing samples. Applications should demonstrate 5+ years of Angular experience and examples of clear technical communication.

  • Open worldwide; no specific country restrictions listed.
  • Ideal candidates: senior Angular developers with strong written English and a taste for technical evaluation work.
