The work

Use your air traffic control experience to create realistic prompts and evaluate AI responses about aviation operations. You will judge accuracy, relevance, and safety, then explain your decisions in clear, structured feedback.

  • Write prompts based on real air traffic control situations, terminology, and responsibilities.
  • Review responses about aircraft movement, assigned airspace, ground operations, weather, visibility, and hazards.
  • Assess landing and take-off instructions, radar-monitoring scenarios, and communication with adjacent control centers.
  • Identify inaccurate information or missing context and use professional judgment to assess responses against real-world aviation standards.

What it pays and takes

  • Pay: Up to $120 per hour, depending on the project.
  • Work: Remote, asynchronous project work with flexible participation; opportunities are temporary and may open periodically throughout the year.
  • Time: 20+ hours per week.
  • Location: Open to candidates in the United States.
  • Experience: At least four years of professional air traffic control experience or closely related responsibilities.
  • Knowledge: Experience coordinating aircraft movement in assigned airspace and on the ground, plus knowledge of pilot communications, weather and hazard information, radar monitoring, and flight operations.
  • Skills: Clear written communication and the ability to work independently. Professional fluency in English is required.
  • Prior AI experience is not required. Experience creating prompts or assessing generated responses may be useful.
