  • Remote contract opportunity
  • Work directly on practical AI training and evaluation tasks
  • Build experience in a fast-growing technology field

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Specialists create reference examples, review model-generated work, and define quality standards so AI tools can produce more accurate and useful results.

This role applies that work to IT operations and software management, translating professional service workflows into structured examples, deterministic rules, and reliable evaluation criteria.

  • Help shape technical AI applications
  • Review and score AI-generated responses
  • Turn professional knowledge into structured training resources

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an experienced IT operations and software management professional to serve as an AI Training Specialist. You will define domain quality benchmarks and build reference logic for technical AI applications focused on IT ticketing, incident management, and software support workflows.

The work requires deep familiarity with ITSM frameworks, SLA policies, asset lifecycle management, and the ability to translate real-world workflows into structured spreadsheet models and deterministic parameters.

  • Contract engagement lasting up to 2 weeks
  • Remote work from anywhere worldwide
  • English-language role

What You'll Do

You will create and validate the operational logic that technical AI systems need to handle common IT service workflows. Your work will combine domain expertise, concise professional writing, spreadsheet modeling, and careful evaluation of AI-generated technical outputs.

  • Define operational discovery parameters and technical guardrails for AI tools handling IT ticketing, incident management, and software support workflows
  • Build and verify reference IT dashboards, SLA tracking sheets, asset lifecycle rollups, and triage escalation logic in Google Sheets or Excel
  • Design realistic IT service scenarios and validate domain context files, including system incident logs, post-mortems, and support playbooks
  • Review, score, and refine AI-generated technical outputs against professional software engineering and ITIL practices

Requirements

This opportunity is designed for professionals with practical experience managing technical operations, support workflows, or software engineering processes. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is accepted.

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, IT operations, or technical support management
  • Hands-on familiarity with issue trackers, ITSM helpdesks, SLA policies, escalation paths, and asset lifecycle management
  • Strong, concise professional writing skills
  • Ability to translate triage workflows, SLA timers, and incident rules into deterministic spreadsheet formulas and parameters
  • Experience auditing AI-generated technical outputs against ITIL and software engineering standards
  • Personal desktop or laptop with stable high-speed internet

Helpful Background

Previous experience in AI evaluation or analytical quality work can help you succeed, especially when reviewing technical outputs against detailed standards.

  • AI evaluation
  • Data annotation
  • Content review
  • Quality assurance
  • Related analytical work
