The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking Generalist AI Trainers to support projects focused on training and evaluating next-generation AI systems. You will review and annotate text data, evaluate AI-generated outputs, complete question-answering and text-generation tasks, and provide clear feedback based on project requirements.

This is an entry-level contractor opportunity with an expected project duration of 3 to 6 months. No prior AI experience is required, though experience with data labeling, annotation, content evaluation, RLHF, question answering, or text generation is a plus.

What You'll Do

You will contribute human expertise to AI-focused projects by reviewing information, evaluating model outputs, completing annotation tasks, and providing structured feedback. Your work will help improve the quality, accuracy, and reliability of AI systems.

• Analyze, evaluate, and annotate varied text datasets for AI training and validation.
• Review AI-generated content for relevance, accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.
• Complete question-answering, text-generation, and RLHF-related evaluation tasks.
• Write clear, accurate feedback based on project guidelines.
• Solve problems that require critical thinking across multiple topics.
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve submitted content.
• Follow detailed instructions and quality-assurance procedures consistently.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across assigned tasks.

Requirements

You do not need previous AI experience, but you must be comfortable following detailed instructions and producing consistently high-quality work.
