The Generalist Role

OpenTrain is seeking an expert Generalist to support training and validation of next-generation AI systems using high-quality real-world input. You will work across varied datasets and multiple domains, applying strong analytical judgment to evaluate content, identify issues, and communicate useful insights.

This is a remote contractor project expected to run for 3 to 6 months. Scheduling is flexible, and the posting does not specify a required weekly workload. Contributors must complete assigned requirements on time and maintain consistently high-quality output.

What You'll Do

You will analyze, evaluate, and annotate varied text datasets while producing precise written feedback. The work requires solving problems across multiple domains, reviewing model outputs, and communicating findings clearly through written and verbal channels.

Requirements

This role is intended for expert contributors with relevant General-purpose AI training and evaluation experience. Prior data labeling or annotation experience is beneficial but not required. Strong English communication and the ability to work carefully and independently are essential.
