In this project, your Santali language skills and research abilities will help build a collection of text documents for AI training. The work is fully remote and offers flexible scheduling.

The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an AI Data Contributor – Santali to support a PDF collection project for AI training. As an independent contractor, you will find publicly available Santali documents, confirm that they can be legally used, and submit them with basic descriptive information.

This is a part-time role with a flexible schedule. The expected commitment is 20 or more hours per week, at a rate of $10 per hour.

What You'll Do

You will collect and prepare Santali-language PDF documents according to project guidelines. Careful attention to licensing and accurate document descriptions will be important to the quality of the resulting dataset.

• Source legally usable public PDF documents written in Santali
• Verify open-source or public-domain licensing requirements
• Upload collected documents to the research platform
• Provide basic descriptive information for each document
• Follow project guidelines and maintain accurate records

What We're Looking For

This role is suited to Santali language professionals with strong written and verbal communication skills. You should be comfortable researching publicly available content, evaluating whether documents meet stated licensing requirements, and working independently.

Prior annotation experience is an advantage, but the core requirements are excellent Santali reading and writing ability, strong research skills, attention to detail, and reliable adherence to instructions.
