You will turn real life sciences workflows into structured tasks for AI agents. The work tests scientific reasoning and execution, not simple question answering or memorization.
You will create the task materials, build expert solutions, and make sure each task can run in a controlled environment without network access. You will also review results, maintain quality and throughput, and respond to reviewer feedback.
- Design multi-step computational workflows across the life sciences.
- Create scientific datasets, input files, instructions, constraints, and expected deliverables.
- Write reproducible expert solutions and objectively verifiable ground truths.
- Create automated or partly automated grading criteria for multi-step computational work.
- Validate scientific assumptions, calculations, code, intermediate results, and final answers.
- Make sure tasks are self-contained, executable, and suitable for objective evaluation.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote contractor assignment lasting five weeks. The work requires advanced research and programming ability in computational life sciences.
- Pay: $280 per approved task.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Schedule: At least four hours of overlap with Pacific Time is required.
- Education: Ph.D., postdoctoral training, or equivalent research experience in the life sciences.
- Programming: Strong scientific programming experience, especially in Python.
- Analysis: Experience with multi-step computational scientific analyses.
- Scientific judgment: Ability to validate scientific reasoning and computational outputs independently.
- Task design: Ability to turn authentic research workflows into bounded, objectively gradable tasks.
- Helpful background: Bioinformatics, computational genomics, systems biology, computational neuroscience, biostatistics, computational drug discovery, computational biochemistry, structural biology, protein engineering, or computational microbiology.
- Helpful tools: Scientific libraries, command-line tools, and reproducible research pipelines.
