The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an Accounting Reconciliation Task Author to create expert-level accounting scenarios for AI training and evaluation. You will design realistic, numerically rigorous tasks, write scoring rubrics, and calibrate difficulty so capable AI models are meaningfully challenged.

What You’ll Do

Write prompts focused on matching payments to invoices, reconciling billing against recognized revenue, and analyzing margin reports
Create scoring rubrics with exact numerical outcomes and the reasoning steps required to reach them
Set up task environments using financial data, documents, and accounting system states
Solve each task yourself to confirm that the numbers work and the rubric is accurate
Adjust data complexity, ambiguity in source documents, and reasoning steps to calibrate task difficulty
Review and correct AI-drafted task prompts or rubrics when provided
Required Qualifications
This work is designed for finance professionals who can apply practical accounting knowledge to complex, multi-step reconciliation scenarios. Precision, consistency, and the ability to define objectively correct answers are essential.
Hands-on experience as an accountant, finance analyst, or in a closely related role
Strong numerical reasoning and the ability to work through multi-step reconciliation problems
Solid knowledge of revenue recognition principles, matching rules, and standard accounting workflows
Ability to define verifiable correctness criteria, including exact figures, reconciled balances, and documented variance explanations
Comfort working with financial documents, spreadsheets, and accounting system outputs
Willingness to test and refine tasks until their difficulty and gradability are both appropriate
Helpful Background
The following experience can be useful when creating realistic enterprise accounting scenarios, although the core requirements are the accounting and reconciliation capabilities listed above.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, BPO, or enterprise B2B finance environments
Familiarity with ERP or accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks
CPA (Philippines) license or an equivalent professional qualification
