About Accounting and Audit AI Training

AI training is the human side of building modern artificial intelligence. Experts create realistic examples, review model responses, and identify errors so AI systems can produce more reliable and practical outputs.

In this role, your accounting and audit judgment will help train models on complex financial reporting, internal control, compliance, risk, evidence, and assurance scenarios.

  • Apply professional expertise to cutting-edge AI development
  • Create and evaluate text-based accounting and audit examples
  • Help distinguish technically sound conclusions from material errors
  • Work remotely with flexible part-time scheduling

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Accounting and Audit AI Training Expert to create, evaluate, and refine realistic accounting and audit tasks used to train advanced AI systems. You will combine deep accounting expertise with structured quality review and the development of high-difficulty tasks and gold-standard solutions.

The work requires sound professional judgment across financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and assurance scenarios. You will help ensure that model outputs and contributor work align with professional standards and real-world practice.

  • Create realistic tasks based on complex professional situations
  • Produce accurate, high-difficulty solutions
  • Refine evaluation criteria and quality standards
  • Support reliable and practical AI model outputs

What You'll Do

You will develop accounting and audit content that challenges advanced AI systems and reflects the decisions professionals make in practice. You will also review work systematically, assess risk, verify evidence, and identify material issues.

When evaluation criteria are unclear or an issue represents a genuine edge case, you will escalate it to the appropriate functional expert lead.

  • Create accounting and audit tasks for AI training
  • Write gold-standard solutions and verify their accuracy
  • Review and calibrate contributor output
  • Assess risks and review supporting evidence
  • Identify material issues and unsupported judgments
  • Maintain high-quality deliverables
  • Escalate genuine edge cases and unclear evaluation criteria

Required Qualifications

This role requires substantial professional experience and is suited to an accounting or audit expert with 8 to 15 years of experience. Manager- to Director-level public accounting experience or experience working as an industry Controller is expected.
