AI systems learn from examples collected and prepared by people. Video contributors help create the real-world footage models need to understand movement, environments, activities, and vehicle navigation. This work is part of a fast-growing field where contributors directly influence how modern AI performs.
As a 360° Video Recorder, you will capture immersive, high-quality footage of yourself performing natural, everyday activities in indoor, outdoor, and vehicle environments. Recordings may include third-person views of daily activities and vehicle navigation tasks.
You must already own or have access to a compatible camera with at least a 170° field of view and minimum 720p recording resolution. The role is intermediate level and requires conversational English proficiency.
You will follow assigned collection instructions to record continuous footage that clearly shows the relevant activity and surrounding environment. Each clip must be at least 60 seconds long, and vehicle recordings must use a secure vehicle camera mount.
Compatible equipment includes qualifying 360° or action cameras from Insta360, DJI, GoPro, or other manufacturers. You do not need to own the required mounting equipment before applying, although having a compatible backpack or vehicle mount may allow you to begin collecting sooner.
For third-person recordings, the camera must be mounted above and behind you, angled slightly downward, and positioned far enough back to keep your full body visible during normal movement. The setup must remain stable and preserve the required perspective.
Handheld selfie sticks, chest mounts, shoulder clips, and stationary tripods do not meet the required third-person perspective. Reasonable costs for required mounting hardware may be reimbursed.
High-quality submissions must follow the assigned camera position, capture a variety of activities and environments, and keep the relevant action consistently visible. Follow all provided recording and safety instructions for every task.
This project is suited to people who can operate 360° video equipment and reliably collect real-world activity footage. Experience or subject matter expertise in autonomous-driving perception and real-world activity data is required.
The rate is $20 per hour of approved video, also described as PPT. Payment is based on the duration of video that passes quality review and is accepted for delivery, not simply on time spent recording.
