About OpenTrain

OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role and the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. OpenTrain helps experts discover projects across the industry, build a professional profile, and apply to opportunities in minutes.

This is an opportunity to bring your wealth and asset management expertise into the rapidly growing field of AI training, where human specialists help shape how advanced AI systems reason, communicate, and perform in professional settings.

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts create examples, evaluate model responses, and establish standards that help AI systems produce more accurate and useful work.

In this role, your investment judgment will help distinguish genuinely sophisticated enterprise reasoning from generic textbook answers. The work is fully remote and can be structured around a flexible contracting schedule.

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a senior wealth management and asset management expert to design evaluation tasks for AI systems operating in Fortune 500 enterprise investment and advisory contexts.

You will create enterprise-grade scenarios, draft reference outputs, and author detailed rubrics that reflect the portfolio complexity, regulatory stakes, and client sophistication found at large asset managers and private wealth institutions.

  • Role type: Remote contractor and part-time engagement
  • Pay: $70–$80 per hour
  • Expected availability: 20+ hours per week, with a default commitment of 40 hours per week
  • Primary language: English

What You'll Do

You will translate real-world enterprise investment expertise into challenging, clearly specified training and evaluation materials for AI systems.

  • Construct wealth management scenarios involving high-net-worth portfolio construction, multi-stakeholder trust and estate planning, and complex fiduciary or regulatory review cycles.
  • Build asset management tasks covering Fortune 500 portfolio strategy, alternative investments, institutional client servicing, risk and performance analytics, and manager due diligence.
  • Develop investment operations scenarios involving Bloomberg Terminal, Aladdin, Morningstar Direct, and enterprise portfolio and order management systems.
  • Apply modern portfolio theory, factor investing, fiduciary duty standards, and ESG integration to realistic enterprise investment tasks.
  • Produce reference investment policy statements, portfolio strategies, and client-facing executive narratives.
  • Author rubrics that distinguish authentic enterprise wealth and asset management judgment from generic textbook or CFA-exam-level recall.

Required Qualifications

This role requires substantial professional experience in wealth management, asset management, portfolio management, or investment strategy. Candidates should be able to evaluate nuanced decisions in large-scale institutional and advisory environments.

  • 5+ years as a portfolio manager, wealth advisor, or investment professional at a Fortune 500 asset manager, private bank, or wirehouse.
  • Direct ownership of Fortune 500-scale client portfolios, institutional mandates, or investment strategy decisions.
  • Fluency in enterprise investment tooling such as Bloomberg Terminal, Aladdin, and Morningstar Direct.
  • Understanding of SEC and FINRA compliance, fiduciary standards, and client reporting in Fortune 500 contexts.
  • Ability to author rubrics that capture authentic enterprise investment judgment.

Preferred Experience

Experience creating structured evaluation standards is valuable because the role requires converting expert judgment into consistent criteria that can be applied to AI-generated work.

  • Prior authorship of rubrics.
  • Investment-training curriculum development experience.
  • Portfolio documentation authorship.

Why Work in AI Training

Every major AI system depends on carefully prepared and reviewed examples. By contributing your specialized financial expertise, you can directly influence how emerging AI tools handle investment analysis, client communication, portfolio decisions, and regulatory considerations.

  • Work fully remotely with a computer and internet connection.
  • Apply advanced professional knowledge to cutting-edge AI systems.
  • Choose a flexible workload consistent with the engagement's 20+ hour weekly requirement.
