About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building artificial intelligence — people prepare, review, and rate examples that modern models learn from. This work is widely remote, flexible, and accessible, and contributors directly influence how cutting-edge AI systems behave.

This role focuses on video: your judgments and annotations help improve model outputs in editing, motion, and visual storytelling contexts.

The role

You will review AI-generated video outputs, analyze real-world footage, annotate video datasets, and curate high-quality samples across genres and production scenarios. The role combines technical judgment (editing, VFX, workflow) with clear written feedback to guide model training and evaluation.

This is a part-time contractor position, 20+ hours per week, open worldwide; English is required for written feedback and reporting.

What you'll do

  • Review and critique AI-generated video outputs for accuracy, technical quality, and creative execution.
  • Analyze video content for editing techniques, camera work, VFX, color grading, pacing, and other production nuances.
  • Interpret, annotate, and assess video datasets used for training and evaluation (data type: VIDEO).
  • Provide clear written feedback and text-generation responses to explain issues and suggest improvements.
  • Curate diverse video samples that span genres, formats, and production scenarios.
  • Document observations and collaborate with researchers and engineers on iterative model improvements.

Requirements

The role expects strong hands-on experience in video production and the ability to describe technical and aesthetic judgments clearly in writing.

  • Professional experience in video editing, filming, motion graphics, VFX, or similar production roles (extensive experience preferred).
  • Deep understanding of video production workflows, editing software, or VFX pipelines.
  • Ability to judge both technical and aesthetic quality in video content and provide precise written feedback.
  • Comfort reviewing AI-generated video outputs and annotating datasets for training and evaluation.
  • Strong independent remote-work habits, clear communication, and attention to detail.
  • Preferred: background in AI, machine learning, data annotation, or technical documentation (not required).

Compensation & schedule

Pay is hourly under a PAY_PER_HOUR model. The listed rate range is $65–$80 USD per hour. This is a contract, part-time role with a minimum expected commitment of 20+ hours per week.

Experience level is listed as Entry level; review the Requirements for the professional video background expected.

  • Pay: $65–$80 USD per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR).
  • Schedule: Part-time contractor, 20+ hours per week.
  • Location: Remote, open worldwide. Work and deliverables are in English.
