The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to contribute to a project focused on improving digital product experiences, visual quality, and usability. You will create, evaluate, and refine real-world design work while translating user and business requirements into practical solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong visual-design expertise with practical UX thinking. You should be comfortable taking a design problem, understanding the requirements, developing a solution in Figma, and clearly explaining why the design works.

What You'll Do
You will independently produce high-quality design work, review design iterations, and communicate actionable recommendations within project milestones and deadlines. The role requires both hands-on design ability and the critical judgment to evaluate whether an interface is clear, consistent, usable, and visually effective.
Create polished, user-focused UI/UX designs, layouts, and digital interfaces
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design systems using Figma
Apply typography, visual hierarchy, spacing, composition, and layout principles
Translate user and business requirements into practical design solutions
Review iterations for usability, consistency, and visual-quality issues
Provide clear, constructive, and actionable design feedback
Document design decisions, processes, and rationale
Evaluate user flows and recommend improvements based on usability principles
Apply accessibility and inclusive-design considerations where appropriate
Work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
Deliver high-quality work within project milestones and deadlines
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should bring professional UI/UX or graphic-design experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating the quality and impact of their work. You should be able to analyze design problems, explain your decisions clearly, and iterate based on requirements and feedback.
