The role
OpenTrain AI is hiring UK domestic tax specialists to review and improve AI-generated tax research focused on UK domestic taxation. This is a part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours/week, performed remotely in the UK.
Compensation is pay-per-hour at USD 110–140/hr (listed hourly rate USD 140). Work will involve detailed technical review, rewriting model answers, validating authorities, and refining grading rubrics.

What you'll do
Your primary responsibility is to ensure AI-produced tax research is technically accurate, current with legislation and guidance, and supported by correct authorities.
Review UK domestic tax research questions and model answers for technical accuracy and completeness.
Validate supporting legal authorities, case law, and HMRC guidance cited in model responses.
Review and improve grading rubrics for technical accuracy, scope, and fairness.
Rewrite or refine model answers to reflect correct interpretation of UK legislation and recent tax developments.
Assess whether analyses reflect current UK legislation, HMRC guidance, and recent tax developments.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the stated professional and technical requirements; OpenTrain will verify qualifications and experience during onboarding.
5+ years of professional UK tax experience.
Recognised UK tax qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, Chartered Accountant, Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent.
Deep expertise in UK domestic taxation and experience interpreting UK tax legislation, HMRC guidance, and case law.
Experience preparing technical tax opinions, memoranda, or compliance documentation.
Excellent written communication, analytical skills, and attention to legal detail.
Fluent English and ability to work remotely from the UK (candidate must be located in GB).
