The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a UI / Visual Designer, Design Systems & Written Rationale for AI training work focused on UI Design System Review. You will assess visual and interaction design, develop clear design principles, and explain your decisions in structured written rationales.

This is part-time remote contractor work estimated at about 20 hours per week for 1-3 months. Scheduling is flexible, and the role is open worldwide.

What You'll Do

You will use professional UI and visual design judgment to review interface work and document the reasoning behind strong, consistent, and accessible design systems.

• Critically evaluate user interfaces, including visual and interaction design strengths and weaknesses.
• Write structured, well-reasoned rationales for design decisions.
• Develop and articulate principles, patterns, and guidelines for robust design systems.
• Review, refine, and document component libraries for clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
• Create clear, visually engaging mockups in Figma using best practices for color, typography, spacing, and responsive design.
• Produce comprehensive design documentation for diverse audiences.
• Address accessibility standards and usability in visual designs and supporting documentation.

Requirements
