About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people start and grow careers teaching AI by connecting contributors with projects across the industry, building profiles, and making applications simple and fast.
This opening comes through OpenTrain AI, where contributors collaborate on real-world AI training work that directly shapes how models behave.
Why Work in AI Training
AI training is the human side of building modern AI: people annotate, write, test, and review examples that models learn from. It’s fast-growing, often remote, and highly flexible—many contributors choose hours that fit study, family, or other jobs.
This role places you at the cutting edge: you’ll write and correct code used to teach LLMs how to generate and evaluate TypeScript solutions.
- 100% remote work with flexible scheduling.
- Part-time contractor opportunities that fit around other commitments.
- Contribute directly to how advanced AI systems behave.
The Role
We are looking for experienced TypeScript developers to join an ongoing LLM/AI training project. This is a long-term engagement (6+ months) requiring a commitment of 20–40 hours per week. You will set your own hours and work remotely as a part-time contractor.
After you submit your proposal, you will receive a TypeScript coding assessment to complete as part of the selection process.
- Contract, part-time role for 6+ months.
- Flexible scheduling: 20–40 hours per week.
- Remote work from anywhere with reliable internet and power.
What You'll Do
Your primary tasks focus on producing high-quality TypeScript examples and ensuring AI-generated code meets standards. You’ll both create original code snippets and debug or refine code produced by models.
Work directly supports model training datasets and quality assurance for AI-generated TypeScript solutions.
- Write TypeScript code snippets and short programs from prompts.
- Debug and correct AI-generated TypeScript code.
- Create accurate, well-documented training examples for models.
- Refine and optimize code to meet quality and style expectations.
