The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Travel Industry AI Training Expert to bring practical travel expertise to model evaluation and improvement. You will assess travel-related queries, itineraries, sales strategies, customer interactions, and AI-generated content against professional industry standards.

This is a remote, part-time contractor engagement for an experienced travel agent or closely related travel consultant. Prior AI training experience is not required.

What You'll Do

You will translate real-world travel judgment into clear, actionable feedback. The work combines written evaluation, scenario development, content review, and discussions to clarify requirements.

• Provide scenario-based feedback on travel planning, booking processes, customer interactions, and industry best practices.
• Analyze travel queries and itineraries against real-world travel standards.
• Evaluate sales strategies and identify practical travel upselling opportunities.
• Develop realistic booking situations and negotiation approaches for different customer profiles and destinations.
• Review customer service responses for clarity and professionalism.
• Assess AI-generated travel content for reading comprehension, quality, and industry relevance.
• Participate in written and verbal discussions to clarify requirements.

Requirements

You should have at least five years of experience as a travel agent or in a closely related travel consultancy role. Strong practical knowledge of travel planning, booking, customer service, and sales negotiation is essential.

You must be able to evaluate varied customer requests, resolve conflicts, assess complex itineraries, and explain why a travel response is practical. Excellent written communication, reading comprehension, and analytical judgment are required.
