OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role. OpenTrain is the leading platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling, helping contributors discover projects, build a professional profile, and apply in minutes.
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors create and review real-world examples that help modern AI systems understand images, video, language, movement, and environments.
This project supports real-world robotics applications through carefully captured video of natural human activities. Consistent third-person footage helps AI systems learn from a stable view of a person's full body while also understanding the surrounding environment.
The work is remote and flexible in structure, although recordings take place in real indoor, outdoor, and vehicle environments. You will choose or complete assigned activities while following detailed framing, equipment, duration, quality, and safety instructions.
OpenTrain is seeking a Third-Person Video Data Collector to create exocentric video footage of everyday movement and vehicle navigation. You will operate an action or 360-degree camera positioned above and behind you, angled slightly downward to keep your entire body and the surrounding environment visible.
This is an entry-level, part-time contractor opportunity requiring 20 or more hours per week. The rate is $20 per hour, and the work is conducted in English.
You will record continuous, stable footage while completing natural activities and assigned real-world tasks. Each submission must meet the project's technical and visual requirements before it can be accepted for delivery.
You must have access to your own compatible action or 360-degree camera and be able to configure a secure above-and-behind mounting position. Careful attention to framing, clip duration, image quality, environmental visibility, and safety is essential.
Previous data-collection experience is not required for this entry-level opportunity. Familiarity with action-camera or 360-degree video recording can help you get started, as can access to equipment that supports a stable third-person perspective.
AI training and data-labeling work is a fast-growing way to participate in technology without needing a traditional office role. Depending on the project, contributors may collect video, annotate images, record audio, evaluate model responses, or prepare other examples that shape how AI systems behave.
OpenTrain gives you a place to build a record of your AI training experience and find projects that match your skills. Creating an account is free, and you can apply to opportunities in minutes.
