About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Technology Transactions Contract Review Attorney to support legal AI training and evaluation. You will work with contract redlining workflows, simulated negotiations, and AI-generated contract scenarios, applying practical judgment to help improve how models identify risk and interpret contract language. The role is designed for attorneys with substantial SaaS and technology transactions experience who can turn nuanced legal analysis into consistent, actionable model feedback.
What you will do
You will perform simulated negotiations and redlining exercises involving technology contracts. You will review AI responses to contract scenarios and assess accuracy, risk identification, and legal judgment. You will provide expert feedback that improves model performance and output precision. You will create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-focused AI tasks. You will help refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review.
Required skills
You must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active admission to at least one U.S. bar or other U.S. legal jurisdiction. You must have at least three years of in-house experience focused on technology transactions, along with hands-on experience negotiating master services agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and data processing agreements. Strong written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to translate legal expertise into clear feedback for AI systems are required.
Helpful background
Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives is helpful. Experience at a corporate law firm handling mergers and acquisitions or private equity fund formation is also relevant.
