About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We hire and contract contributors directly for projects that teach AI systems how to understand language, audio, images, and more.

This role is with OpenTrain AI as the hiring organization. You will join a growing community of people who do flexible, remote work that shapes how state-of-the-art language and speech systems behave.

About AI training and why it matters

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work behind every intelligent system. People prepare and review examples — like transcribing speech and marking segments — so models learn to understand real languages accurately.

These projects are ideal for flexible, remote work: you can learn on the job, contribute meaningful annotations, and help build better AI systems while working around other commitments.

The role

We are seeking native Sindhi speakers to transcribe and label recorded speech. This is an entry-level, part-time contract role suitable for contributors worldwide. No prior experience is required; full training and documentation will be provided.

Work is performed remotely using OpenTrain's internal annotation tools and task tracking via Google Sheets. You will be asked to follow clear guidelines to produce accurate transcriptions and to label speech segments for classification and segmentation tasks.

  • Data type: audio (spoken Sindhi).
  • Labeling tasks: classification and segmentation.
  • Tooling: internal proprietary annotation platform; Google Sheets for tracking.

What you'll do

Your day-to-day work will involve listening to audio clips, creating accurate transcriptions, and marking segment boundaries or labels as specified in the project guidelines. Tasks are reviewed for quality and you will receive feedback during training and beyond.

  • Listen carefully to short audio recordings in Sindhi and transcribe spoken content.
  • Label speech segments (start/end times, speaker turns, or predefined categories) according to instructions.
  • Track progress and submit completed tasks through Google Sheets and the platform.
  • Follow quality guidelines and incorporate feedback from reviewers.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the project's core requirements. We will provide training, but basic digital skills and reliability are essential to keep work moving and meet deadlines.

  • Native fluency in Sindhi (required).
  • No prior annotation experience needed — training provided.
  • Reliable availability: typically 3–5 hours per day; overall commitment 20+ hours/week.
  • Basic familiarity with Google Sheets for tracking tasks.
  • Ability to work remotely as a contractor and follow written guidelines carefully.

Who should apply

This role is a good fit for native Sindhi speakers seeking flexible, remote, part-time work. Ideal applicants include students, caregivers, bilingual speakers, or anyone looking to start a career in AI training.

  • Entry-level applicants welcome.
  • Good attention to detail and listening skills.
  • Comfortable following step-by-step instructions and receiving feedback.

Compensation & how it works

Compensation for this contract role is a fixed payment of 200 USD (paid per the project's payment terms). You will be onboarded, complete training tasks, then begin annotated work through OpenTrain's proprietary tooling and Google Sheets tracking.

To apply, create or sign in to your OpenTrain account, complete the application steps, and finish the short training assessment. Successful completion of training unlocks paid tasks.

  • Payment type: fixed price — 200 USD.
  • Employment type: contractor, part-time.
  • Work location: remote — worldwide applicants accepted.
