You will create and configure 3D environments and assets for simulation-based AI training. The work involves translating real-world objects and instruments into simulated versions that match their shape, scale, materials, and physical behavior.
You will also work with scientific and technical subject-matter experts to check accuracy, adjust physical settings, and investigate differences between simulated and real-world behavior.
- Build and configure 3D assets and environments in Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, or a similar simulation platform.
- Translate real-world objects and instruments into simulation with accurate geometry, scale, materials, and physical behavior.
- Tune mass, friction, collision properties, and joint dynamics so simulated objects behave like their real counterparts.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies between simulated and real-world behavior.
- Collaborate with scientists and subject-matter experts to validate simulated environments.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a part-time contractor role for applicants in the listed countries. No previous AI experience is required, but you should bring relevant simulation, 3D, CAD, environment design, or physics knowledge.
- $60 to $150 per hour.
- Part-time contract work.
- Open to candidates in multiple countries across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
- Professional fluency in English is required.
- Hands-on experience with at least one robotics or physics simulation platform, such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, Unity, Unreal, or PyBullet.
- Background in 3D modeling, CAD, or environment design.
- Understanding of physics simulation, including rigid-body dynamics, materials, and sensors.
- Strong collaboration skills with scientific and technical stakeholders.
- Careful attention to detail when matching real-world fidelity.
