About AI training and this project

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work that helps models learn to understand speech, images, and text. Contributors perform tasks like recording audio, transcribing, and rating model outputs to improve real-world AI systems.

This project focuses on voice data collection: your recordings will help improve voice recognition and assistant technology for German speakers.

The role

You will read and record roughly 500 short voice commands using a mobile Android app provided by OpenTrain AI. The task is remote and will take approximately 2 hours in total.

You must sign a consent form and follow instructions (both provided in English). The project must be completed within one week of assignment.

• Follow written instructions and sign the consent form (both in English).
• Submit an initial short audio sample when applying so we can verify the required accent.
• Deliver all recordings within the one-week completion window.

Requirements

Read every requirement carefully—these are strict because the data must match linguistic targets.

• Native German speaker with a Germany (native-German) accent—Austrian, Swiss, or other regional variants do not meet this requirement.
• You will be asked to submit a short audio sample before being hired to confirm your accent.
• Android device required, Android OS version 9.0 or higher.
• Able to read and follow instructions provided in English.
• Comfortable reading aloud for the duration of the session; no prior recording experience required.

Payment, schedule, and employment type

This is a fixed-price contractor assignment: total pay is USD 68 for the completed task.

Estimated effort is about 2 hours; classified as part-time/contract work and fits within a Less than 20 hours/week commitment.

How to apply

Apply with a brief statement confirming that you are a native German speaker with a Germany accent and that you have an Android device with OS 9 or higher.

Be prepared to upload or record a short audio sample for accent verification and to sign the consent form in English if selected.
