You will provide senior clinical judgment for the evaluation and curation of dermatology cases used in clinical AI development. The work centers on complex or unclear cases, structured reviewer consensus, evaluation methods, and documentation grounded in current dermatology guidance.
- Review complex or ambiguous dermatology cases.
- Resolve clinical disagreements through structured discussion and documented consensus.
- Help develop frameworks for evaluating AI model outputs.
- Advise during reviews of model-generated clinical outputs.
- Write guideline-aligned clinical commentary and defensible case documentation.
- Provide subspecialty consultation across assigned case batches.
- Follow project protocols and communicate constructively with other clinical reviewers.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a fully remote, asynchronous independent contractor engagement for US-based academic dermatologists. The engagement is expected to last four weeks, with occasional synchronous calls and an NDA required upon engagement.
- Pay: Paid per task; compensation depends on experience, academic standing, and clinical expertise.
- Workload: An average of 15 hours per week, with up to 40 hours per week during peak batches.
- Location: Open to candidates in the United States.
- Language: English.
- Required: Faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above at an accredited US medical school or academic medical center.
- Required: Board certification in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
- Required: An active medical license in good standing in at least one US state.
- Required: Active clinical practice with at least three years of experience after residency.
- Required: Strong written clinical reasoning, consensus leadership and documentation skills, current dermatology guideline knowledge, and comfort with graphic medical images and complex clinical material.
- Helpful: Fellowship training in dermatopathology, Mohs or procedural dermatology, pediatric dermatology, or complex medical dermatology.
- Helpful: Dermatology publications, journal peer review, IRB or research committee service, resident or fellow teaching, specialty society involvement, or experience with clinical AI evaluation, digital health, or dermatology AI research.
