The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Securities & Commodities AI Training Expert for a part-time contractor role. You will design realistic, multi-step evaluation tasks that challenge AI agents in trading, client advisory, and compliance reasoning.
The work requires true-to-life scenarios based on day-to-day securities and commodities operations rather than simplified exercises. You will also collaborate with technical teams to clarify task intent and refine benchmarking standards.

What You'll Do
You will combine market expertise, regulatory judgment, and clear technical writing to create evaluation materials that accurately measure AI agent performance.
Develop realistic evaluation tasks simulating complex activities in securities and commodities trading, client advisory, and compliance reasoning.
Source, compile, and curate authentic supporting materials, including market data, client documentation, and regulatory references.
Define and justify correct market decisions or advisory actions while considering applicable compliance and regulatory frameworks.
Author comprehensive rubrics containing 35 or more items to assess market judgment, compliance sensitivity, and client communication accuracy.
Ensure tasks reflect realistic, day-to-day operations rather than simplified scenarios.
Collaborate with technical teams to clarify task intent and refine benchmarking standards.
Required Qualifications
This role is intended for professionals with substantial hands-on experience in securities or commodities markets and compliance-driven workflows.
Active Series 7/63 license or international equivalent
At least 4 years of experience at a brokerage, bank, or trading platform with significant compliance-driven workflow exposure
Direct experience executing trades and providing client advisory within securities and commodities markets
Strong fluency in reviewing and interpreting market data, technical documentation, and regulatory materials
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear, precise technical documentation
Proven ability to design nuanced tasks and grading rubrics
Compensation And Schedule
Compensation is paid hourly within the posted range for all approved work hours. The listed hourly range is $40–$90 USD, with a rate of up to $90 per hour based on the approved work arrangement.
