You will design realistic computational life sciences workflows used to evaluate AI agents. Each task should require scientific data inspection, method selection, code execution, troubleshooting, analysis, and synthesis.
You will prepare the files, datasets, instructions, constraints, expected deliverables, expert solutions, ground truths, and grading criteria needed for each task. You will also confirm that the scientific assumptions, calculations, code, intermediate results, and final answers are correct and reproducible in network-isolated environments.
- Build multi-step workflows in areas such as bioinformatics, computational genomics, systems biology, biostatistics, computational drug discovery, structural biology, protein engineering, and computational microbiology.
- Create tasks that are self-contained, executable, and suitable for objective evaluation of AI-generated scientific work.
- Validate scientific reasoning, computational outputs, code, calculations, and final conclusions.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote contractor assignment lasting five weeks. The work requires advanced research and computational skills in the life sciences, especially for designing and checking multi-step scientific analyses.
- Pay: $300 per approved task.
- Schedule: 20 or more hours per week.
- Time requirement: Include a four-hour overlap with Pacific Time.
- Experience: A Ph.D., postdoctoral appointment, or equivalent research experience in the life sciences.
- Technical skills: Strong computational and scientific programming experience, particularly in Python.
- Analysis skills: Experience performing multi-step computational scientific analyses and independently validating scientific reasoning and computational results.
- Language: Professional fluency in English.
