You will create, solve, review, and validate mechanical engineering tasks used to train AI systems. The work covers engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, technical problem-solving, Python, and coding-agent workflows across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics problems.
You will use engineering judgment to assess whether computational artifacts and analyses meet physical and design requirements. This includes building models, running simulations, solving engineering problems, and checking solutions for technical accuracy.
- Translate physical systems and engineering requirements into analytical or computational models.
- Create or modify geometry and meshes.
- Define materials, loads, contacts, boundary conditions, constraints, and solver inputs.
- Run simulations and evaluate the resulting artifacts and analyses.
- Solve and validate problems involving mechanical design, analysis, simulation, testing, and research and development.
- Create technically rigorous task content and review solutions against engineering requirements.
What It Pays and Takes
This is an entry-level, part-time contractor role for candidates with strong mechanical engineering or applied mechanics skills. The work requires technical judgment across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics problems.
- $60 to $120 per hour equivalent, paid per task that meets the project specifications.
- Remote work with flexible scheduling of approximately 15 hours per week.
- Open to candidates in the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Denmark, Algeria, Egypt, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Ghana, Greece, Indonesia, India, Italy, Jordan, Japan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Mexico, Malaysia, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Oman, Peru, the Philippines, Pakistan, the Palestinian Territories, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Tunisia, Taiwan, the United States, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and South Africa.
- Fluent English.
- An MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, or strong applied-mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals.
- Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based engineering solutions.
- Practical proficiency with coding agents.
- Working knowledge of Python for engineering problem-solving.
