You will turn real engineering workflows into terminal-based tasks that AI agents can complete and be evaluated against. Work may involve mechanical, electrical, chemical, aerospace, civil, materials, biomedical, robotics, or control systems engineering.
- Design multi-step scientific and engineering tasks and create datasets, simulation inputs, geometry files, sensor data, design constraints, and configuration files.
- Develop expert solutions with Python, C or C++, Julia, MATLAB or Octave, Bash, or comparable engineering software.
- Build reproducible, containerized environments with fixed dependencies.
- Create automated tests and grading criteria for units, physical constraints, tolerances, convergence, stability, boundary conditions, and numerical behavior.
- Debug solver, dependency, workflow, precision, and performance issues, then document assumptions, expected outputs, and edge cases.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote contractor assignment lasting five weeks. The work is conducted in English.
