The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Project Management AI Training Specialist to teach AI systems how to handle complex project management workflows. You will build reference assets, establish domain benchmarks, and evaluate AI-generated project plans, risk registers, and status reports.

This is a short-term contractor role with weekend on-call availability. The listing specifies 20+ hours per week, while the role description states a requirement of 40 hours per week.

What You'll Do

You will translate established project management practices into structured guidance that AI systems can follow consistently. Your work will combine professional writing, spreadsheet modeling, scenario design, and detailed evaluation of generated outputs.

  • Translate Gantt schedules, dependency logic, and status reporting methodologies into structured rules for AI models.
  • Build and validate reference project dashboards, Gantt models, cost and effort rollups, and dependency formulas in Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Design realistic operational scenarios, including project charters, RAID logs, and implementation playbooks.
  • Review, score, and refine AI-generated project deliverables against professional delivery standards.

Requirements

This role requires substantial practical experience in project or program delivery. Candidates should be able to explain scheduling logic clearly, create deterministic spreadsheet formulas, and write concise professional content.

  • Three or more years of experience in program management, project management, PMO execution, or delivery leadership.
  • Hands-on expertise in Gantt scheduling, critical path management, status reporting, and structured playbooks.
  • Strong concise professional writing skills.
  • Ability to translate scheduling logic into deterministic spreadsheet formulas.
  • Desktop or laptop with a stable high-speed internet connection.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is helpful.
  • Admin-level proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Project, or Asana is helpful.
  • Experience reviewing or evaluating AI-generated project plans and status reports is helpful.
