You will help improve AI systems by creating realistic nuclear engineering prompts and reviewing the responses they produce. Your feedback will explain what is accurate, what needs correction, and whether the response reflects safe professional practice.
The work is remote and asynchronous. Assignments may cover technical reports, operational guidance, analyses, recommendations, and research-focused content.
- Create prompts based on real nuclear engineering tasks, terminology, and workplace situations.
- Evaluate AI responses for technical accuracy, safety awareness, clarity, and relevance.
- Review content about reactor and power plant operations, nuclear equipment, radiation protection, fuel behavior, waste handling, environmental studies, and regulatory issues.
- Identify weaknesses in model responses and describe corrections or improvements clearly.
- Use professional judgment when reviewing technical reports, operational guidance, analyses, recommendations, and research content.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote, flexible, part-time contractor role. Assignments are hourly and may vary by project.
- Pay: Up to $80 per hour.
- Time: 20+ hours per week.
- Location: Open to candidates in the United States.
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Experience: At least four years of professional experience in nuclear engineering or a closely related nuclear field.
- Relevant areas may include reactor design, nuclear facility operations, instrumentation and controls, radiation shielding, nuclear fuel cycles, radioactive waste, environmental compliance, or nuclear research.
- Evaluate technical information against safety standards, operational practices, test results, or regulatory considerations.
- Communicate technical judgments clearly in writing and work independently in an asynchronous setting.
- Previous AI training experience is not required.
Helpful background
Experience designing or overseeing nuclear reactors and power plants, directing operations or maintenance, preparing technical or environmental reports, investigating incidents, developing remediation plans, conducting nuclear materials or fuel studies, or evaluating analytical models may support this work.
Experience writing operational instructions, reviewing safety practices, or working with scientists, vendors, contractors, or review boards may also be relevant.
