Overview

OpenTrain.ai is seeking native Dutch voice actors with professional or high-quality prosumer recording setups to contribute to a structured speech data collection project.

This work involves recording scripted dialogue with a focus on natural delivery, consistency, and clean audio capture. Recordings are done directly on-platform, with no post-processing required.

What You’ll Do
Record scripted Dutch dialogue (solo recording)
Maintain consistent tone, pacing, and microphone technique
Deliver clean, production-ready raw audio on the first pass
Follow provided guidelines for timing, clarity, and articulation
Requirements
Language
Native-level fluency in Dutch
Clear pronunciation and natural delivery
Equipment (Prosumer or Higher)

Acceptable setups include:

USB condenser microphones (e.g., Rode NT-USB Mini, Rode NT1 5th Gen)
XLR microphones with audio interface (e.g., Audio-Technica AT4040 + Audient iD14 MkII, Sennheiser MK4)
Equivalent setups are acceptable if they meet audio quality standards
Recording Environment
Quiet, controlled recording space
Basic acoustic treatment (curtains, foam, carpet, etc.)
No audible echo, reverb, or background noise
Audio Quality Specifications
No audible echo or reverberation
Consistent gain and mic positioning across recordings
No noise reduction, compression, or post-processing applied

Technical thresholds:

Crest Factor: ≥ 13 dB preferred (≥ 10 dB minimum)
Signal-to-Noise Ratio (A-weighted): ≥ 55 dB
Integrated Loudness: ≥ -36 LUFS
