The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Music and Lyrics Expert specializing in Dutch to evaluate generative music AI models. You will assess AI-generated music across a wide range of genres, compare lyrics with published songs, and rate outputs against detailed quality standards.

The work is conducted in Dutch and English and is expected to last up to six months. This is a part-time contractor role paying $28-$60 per hour, with a flexible commitment of around 20 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

You will provide careful, consistent evaluations of AI-generated music and lyrics. Your feedback will help assess how well model outputs meet creative, linguistic, and prompt-specific expectations.

• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities.
• Rate lyrics for quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality.
• Evaluate whether lyrics sound natural, including word choice, slang, and regional expressions.
• Assess AI-generated music across a broad range of genres.
• Deliver high-quality evaluations in Dutch and English.
• Follow detailed written evaluation instructions in English.

Requirements

This role is suited to someone with strong Dutch language ability and meaningful experience in music or music journalism. You should be comfortable listening critically, comparing lyrics, and making nuanced judgments about language, creativity, and originality.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist.
• Knowledge of the Dutch music scene.
• Knowledge of contemporary Dutch genres, sub-genres, and artists.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated lyrics for quality, creativity, and originality.
