The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Music AI Evaluation Expert with Norwegian language expertise to assess generative music AI models. You will use your professional music production, audio engineering, or mixing experience to rate AI-generated music against detailed quality standards.
This project may run for up to six months. The work is remote and flexible, with most experts contributing around 20 hours per week and no stated weekly cap. Compensation is $42 to $78 per hour.

What You’ll Do
You will compare, classify, and review AI-generated songs while applying consistent evaluation criteria. Your judgments will help identify strengths and weaknesses in music models across composition, vocals, language, and production.
Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head for musicality and creativity.
Assess how closely songs follow the provided prompt.
Evaluate vocal quality and review AI-generated vocals against reference material.
Assess production and mix quality using critical-listening skills.
Review AI-generated lyrics against reference material for quality and accuracy.
Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
Required Qualifications
This role requires strong Norwegian language ability, English reading comprehension, and professional audio experience. You must be able to follow detailed written instructions and make careful, repeatable judgments about AI-generated music.
Native or near-native proficiency in Norwegian.
Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
At least two years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
Ability to evaluate musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production quality.
Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
Preferred Background
