The Role

OpenTrain AI is hiring a Molecular Biology AI Training Expert to review molecular biology data, experimental protocols, and scientific literature for relevance and accuracy, create high-quality annotations and scenarios, and evaluate AI-generated text for scientific validity and clarity.

This is a contract, part-time role (20+ hours/week). Work is remote and worldwide, in English. You will work primarily with document-type data and perform evaluation rating and text-generation review tasks.

What You'll Do

• Review molecular biology data, experimental protocols, and scientific literature for relevance, accuracy, and completeness.
• Create annotations, explanations, scenarios, questions, and small datasets grounded in current molecular biology concepts and findings.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific validity, clarity, and alignment with established molecular biology standards.
• Provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve model understanding and performance.
• Collaborate with OpenTrain technical teams to refine deliverables and inform project design with domain insights.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related life science field (required).
• Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of molecular biology results.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as PCR, sequencing, CRISPR, or protein analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and accurately in English.
• Scientific writing, publishing, or peer review experience is a strong advantage.

How It Works & Compensation

You will receive tasks through OpenTrain AI, complete document reviews and annotation assignments, and submit evaluation ratings and written feedback. Tasks emphasize scientific rigor: evidence-based assessments, clear rationales, and reproducible annotations.

Compensation is hourly, paid per the task schedule. This is contracting work—you control your hours while meeting project deadlines and quality standards.

• Pay: USD $60–$80 per hour (hourly rate varies by assignment; posted rate $80/hr with $60 minimum).
