Create realistic mechanical design problems based on CAD and manufacturing workflows. Review AI-generated designs and explain whether they are technically accurate and practical to manufacture.
- Write mechanical design scenarios grounded in real engineering work.
- Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, manufacturability, and sound engineering methods.
- Give clear, structured written feedback to help improve AI responses.
- Work remotely and asynchronously on an ongoing project.
What it pays and takes
- Pay: Up to $47 per hour.
- Workload: Part-time, with a 20+ hours per week requirement and a flexible schedule.
- Location: Open to candidates in India.
- Work arrangement: Ongoing, project-based contract work that can fit alongside another role.
- Education and experience: A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with hands-on industry experience, plus a portfolio of manufactured designs.
- Technical background: Strong parametric CAD skills and depth in GD&T and design for manufacturing, or in FEA and simulation.
- Tools: Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, or Onshape is relevant. Experience across multiple CAD platforms or simulation environments is helpful.
- Other requirements: Clear technical writing, strong attention to detail, fluency in English, and authorization to work in India.
- A portfolio showing designs from concept through manufacturing can strengthen your application.

About AI training work
AI training uses examples and feedback from people to help improve AI systems. This project calls for mechanical engineering judgment to assess whether generated designs reflect real design and manufacturing practice.
