The role

We are recruiting a Mathematics Expert (PhD) to support AI training focused on advanced mathematics. You will create or improve expert responses, review model outputs, and provide written feedback that helps models learn from correct, well-explained solutions.

This is part-time contractor work, estimated at about 20 hours per week over 1 to 3 months, with flexible scheduling. Work is remote and may be performed from anywhere; English fluency is required.

What you'll do

• Write or improve expert responses to advanced mathematics prompts and show your reasoning step-by-step.
• Review source materials and model outputs against detailed project guidelines and rubrics.
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback so reviewers and models can learn from your judgments.
• Maintain consistency and high quality across repeated annotation and evaluation tasks.

Requirements

• PhD-level expertise in advanced mathematics (the role title specifies Mathematics Expert (PhD)).
• Ability to solve and clearly explain undergraduate and graduate-level mathematics problems.
• Experience writing or reviewing mathematical content (exams, problem sets, journal articles, or equivalent).
• Fluency in English and strong written communication skills with technical precision.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed project instructions and apply rubrics consistently.
• Comfort working independently as a remote contractor and collaborating on iterative feedback.
