About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people discover projects, build a unified AI training portfolio, and grow a durable freelance career doing the human work that teaches AI systems.

For this role, OpenTrain is the hiring and contracting organization — you will work directly with OpenTrain on contract and build experience that stays with your OpenTrain profile.

Why AI Training Work Matters

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI: people prepare, review, and judge examples so models learn to behave usefully and safely. This work is highly flexible, often remote, and a fast-growing way to work in tech.

Contributors shape how AI responds in real business contexts. This project focuses on commercial content—marketing decks, campaign reports, dashboards—so your domain judgment directly improves AI tools used for marketing and commercial strategy.

The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Marketing & Commercial Strategy AI Training Specialist to review marketing and sales strategy decks, campaign performance reports, commercial planning materials, dashboards, and analytical reports.

You will create rubrics and feedback frameworks, assess the effectiveness and usability of business content, analyze market research and customer insights, and produce clear, data-grounded recommendations and summaries that improve marketing strategies and commercial tactics.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Time commitment: 20+ hours per week.
  • Pay: $50–$60 USD per hour.

What You'll Do

Day-to-day work centers on reading and evaluating business documents, building structured evaluation instruments, and contributing domain expertise to train and test AI-powered business tools.

  • Review marketing and sales strategy decks, campaign performance reports, and commercial planning materials.
  • Design detailed rubrics and feedback frameworks for evaluating business content and presentations.
  • Analyze market research findings and customer insights to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Draft concise, actionable recommendations, presentations, and executive summaries grounded in data.
  • Assess dashboards, KPIs, and analytical reports for clarity, relevance, and usability.
  • Support the training and evaluation of AI business tools by applying domain-specific judgment to outputs and annotations.

Requirements

You must bring marketing or commercial strategy experience and strong analytical judgment. Clear written communication and attention to detail are essential.

  • Background in marketing strategy, product marketing, growth management, commercial strategy, sales operations, or market research.
  • Experience reviewing marketing strategy decks or sales presentations.
  • Ability to create rubrics and structured feedback frameworks.
  • Analytical skills for working with campaign reports, dashboards, and market research.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, or similar analytics/business intelligence tools.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal).

Preferred and Nice-to-Have

These are not strict requirements but will help you stand out and move faster in the role.

  • Experience creating sales or marketing decks and communicating recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Previous exposure to AI training, rubric creation, or evaluation tasks (helpful but not required).
  • Comfort summarizing complex analytical findings into concise, actionable bullets for product or marketing teams.

How This Works & Compensation

This is a paid contractor role with flexible hours; plan for at least 20 hours per week. OpenTrain manages contracting and payments directly.

Work will involve document-style data (decks, reports, dashboards) and annotation tasks focused on evaluation ratings and short text generation or summaries.

  • Labeling data type: DOCUMENT.
  • Label tasks: EVALUATION_RATING and TEXT_GENERATION.
  • Payment: Hourly, USD $50–$60/hr (typical rate $60/hr listed).
  • Worldwide applicants are welcome; you will work remotely with an OpenTrain contract.

Who Should Apply & Next Steps

Apply if you have hands-on marketing or commercial strategy experience, enjoy close-reading business content, and want flexible contract work that helps train AI tools used by marketing teams.

To apply, create or use your OpenTrain account, submit your profile and availability, and include examples or brief notes about your experience reviewing decks, building rubrics, or analyzing campaign data.

  • Experience level: Entry level (applicants with relevant domain experience but new to AI training are encouraged).
  • Languages: English required.
  • Open to worldwide applicants; local contracting rules will apply.
