The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an M&A Legal AI Training Attorney to provide expert feedback on AI-generated legal analysis. You will work with complex legal scenarios, transaction materials, and model-training datasets involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate advisory work, and related litigation topics.
The role is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity available worldwide. The expected time commitment is 20 or more hours per week, and work is conducted in English.

What You'll Do
You will analyze legal content used in AI model training and provide precise written feedback. Your work will help teams distinguish legally accurate, relevant, and practically useful reasoning from responses that miss important transaction or corporate law considerations.
You may also participate in remote discussions and iterative quality assurance work with multidisciplinary teams. When needed, you will contribute to evaluation rubrics and practical legal best practices.
Analyze and annotate complex M&A and corporate law scenarios
Conduct legal research on M&A, private equity transactions, and related litigation topics
Review, comment on, and refine datasets for legal accuracy and real-world relevance
Write insights about legal reasoning, transaction structures, and deal documentation
Explain legal nuances clearly to multidisciplinary collaborators
Support evaluation rubrics and quality-focused review processes
Requirements
This role requires an experienced attorney with substantial M&A transaction, private equity, and corporate advisory experience. The preferred background includes experience at an Am Law 100 or another leading US law firm, along with practical judgment developed through complex transactional work.
You must hold a Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school and have active bar admission in the United States. Strong legal research, drafting, transaction-document review, and corporate or transactional litigation skills are important.
