About AI training work
AI training (data labeling and human feedback work) is the human side of building AI — people prepare, review, and refine examples that teach models to think, write, and automate. These projects are often remote, flexible, and accessible to candidates with practical skills rather than formal ML degrees.
- Work is typically remote and flexible, and fits well as part-time contractor work.
- This role combines practical automation engineering with evaluation of LLM outputs (RLHF, fine-tuning, and rubric-based QA).
The role
We are seeking an experienced low-code developer to design, build, and evaluate advanced automation workflows and to assess AI-generated solutions. You'll work with platforms such as Make.com or n8n and write custom JavaScript to implement complex logic, robust error handling, and performance optimizations.
This position centers on refining automation for reliability, scalability, and efficiency across integrations that include APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, and rate-limit handling. The work feeds directly into training and evaluating AI systems (evaluation ratings, RLHF, fine-tuning, and function-calling datasets).
- Employment: Contractor, part-time (20+ hours/week).
- Pay: Pay-per-hour; range $15–$45/hr with tasks paying up to $45/hr depending on role and experience.
- Labeling work: evaluation_rating, fine_tuning, RLHF, computer_programming_coding, function_calling.
What you'll do
You will design and review multi-step automation workflows, produce and assess prompts and AI responses that implement those workflows, and grade or annotate model outputs against rubrics. You will also build and validate JavaScript components that handle advanced logic, error recovery, and integration edge cases.
- Design, build, and optimize workflows in Make.com and/or n8n.
- Write and review custom JavaScript for advanced logic, error handling, and performance tuning.
- Create and assess multi-step prompts and responses for automating business processes.
- Review AI-generated automation solutions and score them using evaluation rubrics.
- Implement and test robust integrations across APIs and webhooks, including auth and rate-limit strategies.
- Contribute to datasets for RLHF, fine-tuning, and function-calling tasks via annotation and evaluation.
Requirements
We require demonstrable hands-on experience and clear, specific evidence in your CV. Please include your English proficiency level, email address, and phone number on your CV (submitted in English).
- Proven production experience with Make.com and/or n8n.
- Hands-on text annotation, evaluation, or rubric-based QA experience.
- Experience evaluating LLM outputs for legal reasoning quality.
- Strong JavaScript skills for implementing advanced logic and error handling.
- Experience implementing reliability features and advanced error recovery.
- Skilled at integrating APIs and webhooks, managing authentication and rate limits.
- Experience designing multi-app workflows and optimizing automation performance.
