The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Logistics and Supply Chain AI Evaluation Expert to ground language model initiatives in real-world field operations and fleet dispatch practices. You will evaluate and refine AI-generated tools so that routing, scheduling, inventory, assignment, service-level, and delivery-cost logic meets professional logistics standards.

The work also involves translating operational constraints into deterministic spreadsheet logic and dependable AI workflows. Helpful experience includes AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or another analytical role.

• Remote contractor engagement lasting up to 10 weeks
• Generally 40 hours per week with 8 hours of PST overlap
• At least 20 hours per week required based on the engagement details
• Weekend on-call availability required
• Part-time engagement may be acceptable

What You'll Do

You will define operational requirements, validate logistics materials, review AI-generated decisions, and provide quality sign-off against established logistics and field-operations practices.

• Define fleet size, service areas, delivery time windows, capacity limits, and service levels
• Account for hours-of-service requirements, weight constraints, and volume constraints
• Co-design workflow context and validate dispatch logs, driver rosters, and shipment manifests
• Verify route-planning and driver-assignment logic
• Review inventory workflows, cost formulas, service-level calculations, and validation lists
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs and provide quality sign-off
• Help calibrate route planners, work-order managers, and vendor trackers

Required Qualifications

This role requires substantial hands-on experience in logistics, fleet dispatch, supply chain management, or field-service operations. You should be comfortable converting practical dispatch rules into structured formulas, constraints, and validation systems.

• At least five years of hands-on experience in logistics, fleet dispatch, supply chain management, or field-service operations
• Strong knowledge of routing, scheduling, driver assignment rules, shipment tracking, and fleet operations
• Knowledge of delivery cost metrics such as cost per mile and cost per stop
• Ability to translate dispatch rules into deterministic spreadsheet formulas
• Ability to define capacity constraints and data-validation structures
• Strong analytical reasoning and practical problem-solving skills
• Concise professional writing skills for evaluating workflows and AI-generated outputs
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Reliable desktop or laptop and high-speed internet connection
