About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Logistics AI Evaluation Expert to ground large language models in advanced logistics and supply chain operations. You will apply practical fleet dispatch knowledge to evaluate AI-generated tools, refine operational logic, and ensure routing, assignment, inventory, service-level, and cost outputs align with professional field-operations standards.

What you will do
You will define fleet, service-area, time-window, and capacity parameters for logistics workflows. You will establish guardrails covering driver hours, weight and volume limits, delivery SLAs, and operational constraints. You will validate dispatch logs, driver rosters, shipment manifests, and other operational context files. You will verify routing logic, assignment rules, SLA calculations, cost formulas, and data-validation structures. You will review and sign off on AI-generated route planners, work order managers, vendor trackers, and related tools, while calibrating routing workflows and inventory-management frameworks against real-world logistics practice.

Required skills
You should have at least five years of experience in logistics, fleet dispatch, supply chain management, or field-service operations, with hands-on expertise in routing, scheduling, driver assignment, shipment tracking, and delivery cost metrics. You should be able to translate dispatch rules into deterministic spreadsheet formulas, capacity constraints, and validation structures. Strong concise writing, analytical reasoning, and quality-review judgment are required, along with a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. A personal computer and stable high-speed internet connection are required for remote work. Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or another analytical role is helpful.

Schedule and engagement
This is a remote contractor engagement lasting up to 10 weeks. The expected commitment is 40 hours per week, including 8 hours of overlap with Pacific Time. Weekend on-call availability is required.
