For this role, OpenTrain AI is the hiring organization. You will work directly with OpenTrain to produce and document real-world music production work used to train audio and creative-AI systems.
Why AI training in music matters
AI training (data labeling and human feedback) is the human side of building creative AI. Musicians and producers who contribute real production work help models learn authentic workflows, sonic choices, and creative reasoning.
This work is frequently remote and flexible, and it’s a way to apply hands-on production experience to shape how generative music and audio tools behave in real-world creative contexts.
The role
OpenTrain is recruiting LMMS music production experts to create complete tracks and detailed workflow documentation that will be used to train and evaluate AI models. You will produce finished projects in LMMS and explain your creative and technical decisions so models learn professional music-production practices.
Projects may span electronic, hip-hop, pop, game audio, experimental, podcast content and other genres; you will be asked to work through composition, sound design, arrangement, mixing, mastering, MIDI sequencing, plugin integration, automation, and final exports.
What you will do
Create and document full music projects in LMMS from start to final export, including project files and rendered stems.
Apply sound design, arrangement, mixing, mastering, and production judgment to real production tasks.
Use LMMS features such as MIDI sequencing, plugin integration, automation, and effect processing as part of each project.
Communicate workflow steps, challenges, and the rationale for creative/technical decisions through written and spoken updates.
Provide feedback that helps improve AI model behavior for professional music production and creative workflows.
Requirements
You must already be completing full music-production projects in LMMS as your primary DAW and be comfortable running LMMS on Linux, macOS, or Windows. This is an entry-level friendly posting in terms of seniority, but it requires practical, hands-on experience taking an audio project from concept to a finished export.

Familiarity with a broad range of music genres and project types.
