The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting an LLM Reasoning Data Analyst to create and assess analytical content used to train and improve large language models. You will work with research questions, realistic scenarios, challenging prompts, explanations, and model feedback.
This contract opportunity is suited to independent contributors who enjoy turning complex questions into realistic scenarios, explaining conclusions clearly, and providing precise feedback that improves model performance. The role is entry level and requires a commitment of 20 or more hours per week.

What You’ll Do
You will answer analytical questions that require research, reasoning, data interpretation, and problem-solving. You will create realistic scenarios and challenging questions for language-model training, analyze trends and numerical relationships, determine accurate outcomes, and write clear answers supported by evidence.
You will also evaluate potential model errors, provide constructive feedback with detailed annotations, and apply consistent judgment when distinguishing accurate conclusions from flawed reasoning.

Requirements
Strong English reading, writing, comprehension, research, and analytical ability are required. You should bring logical reasoning, basic arithmetic, creative thinking, and data interpretation skills, along with professional writing or analytical experience in business analysis, research, journalism, technical writing, editing, translation, or a similar field.
Practical experience using Excel and Google Workspace for documentation, analysis, or data-related work is required for this opportunity. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics, or a related field is helpful, although relevant professional experience may substitute for a degree.
You must be able to work independently in a remote environment with a reliable computer and stable internet connection.
